Create Good is about gathering communications rock stars to spread good ideas, not an illness.

We are closely monitoring and evaluating the situation around the Coronavirus (COVID-19) to ensure we are taking the necessary measures to protect the health and well-being of Create Good attendees.

UPDATE: March 12, 2020

The Create Good Conference is going 100% online.

The health of our attendees is too important. Create Good 2020 will be a 100% online conference. We are not taking this decision lightly. We are making the switch now so we can focus our attention on making this one kick-ass online conference.

All ticket holders will get:
  • MORE VALUE - Access to ALL Sessions. We will host live presentations by speakers according to the schedule and record the sessions. The recorded sessions will be available the week after the conference.
  • INTERESTING Ways to Connect. We're looking at how to host Ask Me Anything opportunities with select speakers, an online nonprofit film festival, and more.
  • More fun surprises to come!

If you registered for a hotel room through our conference rate at Marriott, that registration should be canceled automatically and you will receive an email confirming that cancelation.

If you have any questions, please contact us and we'd be happy to help.

We will communicate via email with all attendees if that status changes. We will also update this page periodically when additional information becomes available.

Refunds for the Create Good conference are available up to 7 days before event. Eventbrite's fee is nonrefundable. Please process all refunds on the Eventbrite website.

In the spirit of setting best practices and modeling crisis communication, feel free to steal this content for your own use. Nods of respect and solidarity to all the communicators who are on the front lines dealing with this public health emergency in the weeks to come.

Practice Good Germ Defence

The best way to stop the spread of illness is to protect yourself:

  • Please do not attend Create Good if you are sick or have been exposed to someone with the Coronavirus within the last 2 weeks. Please, do not be the vector for spreading this illness.

  • For the love of all that is good, wash your hands. Wash your hands often and thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available.

  • When coughing and sneezing, cough or sneeze into your sleeve. Elmo and Gordon will teach you how Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • We'll be trying a ‘no-handshake’ policy. Give a nod of respect, tap elbows, try fist bumps, or even a high-fives is less germy than a handshake.

  • Try an alternative to exchanging business cards. Just ask for a fellow attendee's LinkedIn or social media handles to follow them instantly.

  • Avoid sharing drinking glasses, cups, eating utensils, dishes, towels or other items. Wash these items thoroughly with soap and water after use.
