From Stand-Up to Stand Out: Creating Effective Ambassador Programs

April 4, 2024 |

Duke Hall

What do comedians, school superintendents, and electric car fanatics have in common? They’re all trusted messengers helping clean energy nonprofit Generation180 “flip the script” on the climate conversation in their respective communities.

This workshop will include three unique examples of effective Ambassador programs. Generation180 works to inspire and equip people to take clean energy actions. In addition to national education campaigns, Generation180 has ambassador programs that engage K-12 school leaders, clean energy advocates (like electric vehicle owners), and comedians. In this session, lessons learned from growing our network of engaged messengers and specific examples of how our Ambassadors are helping to spread hopeful examples of change in their community will be shared. We’ll also demonstrate the power of Ambassadors to inspire and influence their peers to take action. Award-winning comedian videos will be shown for fun and inspiration!

Session Takeaways:

  • Participants will learn some creative approaches and best practices for a successful engagement program.
  • Participants will have the opportunity to consider how to apply these best practices in their work.
  • We will laugh and hear stories of climate hope.
